Rams Defeat Division Rival 49ers in Overtime

Notes | Photos K Jeff Wilkins kicked a 28-yard field goal with 13:09 to play in overtime to give the Rams a 27-24 overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers at the Edward Jones Dome.
The Rams improve their record to 1-1 this season, while the 49ers fall to 1-1.
Rams QB Marc Bulger, making his first start of the season, completed 25 of 36 passes for 236 yards with two touchdowns. RB Marshall Faulk led the way for Rams rushers, carrying the ball 18 times for 57 yards and one touchdown. Faulk also made three receptions for 11 yards.
WR Isaac Bruce led all Rams receivers with six receptions for 63 yards and WR Torry Holt had six catches for 64 yards with one touchdown. WR Dane Looker collected a career-high five receptions for 47 yards and his first NFL touchdown.
The 49ers capitalized on a fumble
by Rams RB Arlen Harris on a punt return to take a 7-0 lead in the first

The Rams came back and tied the
game on the ensuing drive, with Bulger leading the way. Bulger was five of five on the drive and
passed for 57 yards, including an 11-yard scoring pass to WR Torry Holt to tie
the game at 7-7 with
K Jeff Chandler helped the 49ers regain the lead with 8:45 left to play in the second quarter when he kicked a 35-yard field goal to make the score 10-7.
On the opening drive of the second half the Rams put together their longest drive since November 11, 2002, when they moved the ball 93 yards in 12 plays and took 6:46 off of the clock to earn their first lead of the game, 14-10, following a two-yard touchdown run by Faulk.
But, the 49ers came right back
with a long scoring drive of their own, moving the ball 75 yards in 11
plays. RB Kevan Barlow scored on a
